JIM'S GARDEN

Hi this is my garden I know a mess at times but works fine especially in my two greenhouses I enjoy tomatoes cucumbers potatoes and many others I like a challenge. Jim 22/01/02

1st November 2002 my garden apart from a few autumn gold raspberries that look like they survived the frosts of the last fortnight down to -5 and a few tomato plants in the big greenhouse in the hydroponics setup ripening at the speed of a snail must do more to combat white fly have got more Hydroponic kit for next year still eating leeks potatoes and onions a reasonable crop despite all the rain weeds and my neglect as usual have grand plans for next year see you at my new page as soon as I have time buy more space for my sites as I am close to 20mb see you in 2003 Jim

Summer 2002

have my first Tomato a Brasero my tastiest variety Two weeks earlier than before and tonight tasted melon delicious OK just one that stopped growing size of golf ball called fast break  my first ever melon and yes I failed totally before and remember those peas on rowan pipes that I slid into place well they are cropping now delicious small pods of peas called misty. my outside toms are poor expect they will pick up soon as most nights are now +50 f but it's been so wet this month June used to be a good month.
so theirs my update apologies not to up-to-date with Photos as no time to take and edit them all as I'm nights and so little computer time till next month

Now it's mid March and sowing is in full swing peas potatoes tomatoes cucumbers melons peppers just a few of many all in greenhouse only garden activity was digging small area and planting my early potatoes Arran pilot and Rocket all go in the next few weeks.

 Well It's mid Jan and I have already sown sweet peas onion and geranium seeds the  sweet peas have germinated 90% better than last years 50% the geraniums are up but a bit leggy I badly need a propagation light and the onions are coming up slowly not worried as I mainly use sets
