December 2004 Update + photos taken 19.10 4 January 2005

All is quiet with a few frosts since my last update and new staging a 6ft by 2ft 3 teir and a HOT BENCH filled with sand and heated cable from Two West & Elliott where my Cactus now rest with the 2 trelitzia regina bird of paradise plants my Oranges are sleeping but my mystery Orange's fruit are ripening and the Calamondium is full of ripening oranges and the sport has 2 fruits still 1 ripening is the fruit stock lemon.

The mystery Citrus still only has few leaves but a fruit is ripening so answer soon hope this citrus has more leaves come spring

Now Banana hope it lasts winter but doubt I can keep Temps high enough for it to crop

Well that's it  I have had time to add some pictures have A very Happy and Merry Christmas

October 2004 Update

Have had to repot all the grafted the grafted Citrus from Hydroponic pots to normal ones using citrus compost as the Navel Mandarin and Unknown Orange were not growing well the Eureka Lemon  was but needed potting up will repot the Calamondin orange soon.

The Banana is growing well but needs repotted the green grape has shot away and grown over 8ft and now have a young red grape plant.

and now have 2 Strelitzia reginae bird of paradise plants 1 young with 2 leaves and one with a few leaves am really excited about these!

here are the first photos Cactus at night  joy and tragedy with hope that the cactus recovers and I get new one from stump

you will see an enlarged collection from last year  below for updates and Photos see below all are in Hydroponic pots from the hydroponicum the Banana has been reported and is in a Hydro 12 pot  sadly this Banana died over the winter but have Sucker off it growing well

My Calamondin orange tree in Fruit Since Autumn now has flowering sport off graft will let it fruit but no more unless advised otherwise and a poor looking Lemon would be compost apart from a green shoot above graft a start of branch.

here you see my Eureka Lemon Mandarin and Navel Orange all young the Navel has now lost last years leaves but has plenty new growth.

19 August 2003 Orange update 1 in fruit and flowering and the other in flower may soon have an answer as to type of orange or even variety here are a few photos of both trees taken today

August 2003 my 2 orange trees are doing fine the small Calamondin orange tree is growing flowering and has several young fruit and my other one had a trim and has bushed up a bit better leaves have lightened dramatically in the Summer sun in the greenhouse but no flowers yet pictures will follow soon as time allows.

Coming on Friday 2nd May a small Calamondin orange tree from David's Exotic plants

July Banana UPDATE I repotted last month taking three suckers off as you see two survived look poorly but new growth from bottom the main plant is growing strongly with new leaf every few days update oranges below Jim

here are two photos October 2002 and April 2003 in Hydroponic pots from the hydroponicum the Banana is running out of space and will need repotted in a few weeks. you see I now have 4 suckers 1 is nearly as large as the parent. and will try and take one off these off to make another plant.
